Path of Life Mangonada



A mangonada is a Mexican treat, made of mango, chamoy and chile lime salt.


  • 10 oz. Path of Life Organic Mango
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 3 Tbsp. Agave Nectar or Honey
  • 3 Tbsp. Fresh Lime Juice (reserve one juiced lime wedge)
  • 2 Tbsp. Mexican Chili-Lime Seasoning
  • ½ Cup Chamoy (See Chef's Tip)


Chef’s Tip: Chamoy is a sweet, salty and tangy Mexican condiment made from chilies and pickled fruit and has a syrup-like consistency. Chili-lime seasoning comes in a small bottle and is sprinkled over fresh fruit in Mexico as a snack. Both of these items can be found in the Hispanic section of your grocer or a Hispanic supermarket.

If desired, this recipe can be prepare without the chamoy. The chili-lime seasoning can be substituted with 2 tbsp chili powder, ¼ tsp salt and ¼ tsp very finely chopped lime zest.

  1. Combine, mango, water, agave nectar and lime juice into a blender. Blend on HIGH until smooth.
  2. Place seasoning onto a small plate. Moisten edge of two serving glasses with reserved lime wedge. Roll edge of glass in seasoning.
  3. Pour ¼ cup of chamoy into each glass. Pour mangonada into glasses. Serve immediately.
